Challenges we ran into

ensuring AI-tutor doesn't push the child too hard or too little; the experience must feel just uncomfortable enough for growth, but not too much that the child gives up

Accomplishments that we're proud of

LittleOak combines a warm child experience with support that adapts as the child progresses, while providing full visibility and insights for the parents

What we learned

while models can provide that in-time, 1:1 guidance for each child, we must define what stays deterministic and what are non-negotiable to protect the natural way that children learn and build agency

What's next for LittleOak

test with families and educators and build more real-world intuition into the pacing, strengthen safeguards and expand the writing curriculum
