Inspiration

I’ve always have been noticing amazing artwork on the buildings around New York. But some of them are getting destroyed by the time, or even have been removed forever. But it’s ART! It has a soul, the one that artists put in there while spending huge amount of time and effort to create some of these. So i decided to give a new life to the murals of New York, but in Virtual Reality!

What it does

Lets you immersively experience one of the coolest Murals of Lower East Side, New York!

How I built it

First, i had to get a drone and fly it above the Delancey street to make a 360 degrees shot. Then i’ve learned the basics of Amazon Sumerian. Added the 360 image into a sphere and inserted the model of the drone. Made the drone fly away when you press “W” key.

Challenges I ran into

Flying the drone on Manhattan isn’t easy! Amazon Sumerian is pretty easy to use, but i might call it a challenge since it’s new to me and i had to adopt.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Combining the 360 degrees image with 3d is pretty dope.

What's next for Little Dude

Since i had only one night to do it, i couldn’t make something bigger. But it’s a big project in my mind that gonna come into reality. Combining many of the 360 shots of coolest Murals around New York and have very interesting interactive interface.
