Inspiration Reading research papers takes time. I wanted a tool that helps students quickly understand papers and organize useful information for future research.
What it does LitMind summarizes research papers, extracts chemical compounds, fetches molecular data from PubChem, generates BibTeX citations, and exports Markdown notes.
How I built it Built with Python and Streamlit. It uses PyMuPDF for PDFs for paper metadata, and PubChem for chemical information.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of Built a complete literature analysis workflow. Connected multiple scientific databases. Generated research-ready notes automatically.
What I learned I learned how to build a full-stack Python application, work with scientific APIs, and automate research workflows.
What's next for LitMind Add better AI summaries, semantic search, RDKit support, molecule visualization, and integration with tools like Zotero and Notion.
