Inspiration

We all have conversations where important things are discussed, but later we forget some of the details.

So we thought, why not create something that can listen to a conversation and help us remember the important parts?

That's how we came up with Listen.

What it does

The user can simply say "Hey Listen" to start recording.

After the conversation, Listen processes the recording and gives:

• A simple summary
• Important points
• Tasks or things we need to do
• Decisions made during the conversation

Later, the user can ask about an old conversation and find the information they need.

How we built it

We built Listen around a simple voice-based experience.

The basic flow is:

"Hey Listen" → Record → AI processes the conversation → Summary and important points

We also designed it so the important information can be saved and used later.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was figuring out what information from a conversation is actually important.

We didn't want to just give the user a long transcript. We wanted the AI to understand the conversation and pick out the useful parts.

We also wanted the experience to be simple and easy to use.

Accomplishments we're proud of

We're proud that we turned a simple idea into an AI assistant that can listen to conversations and make them easier to remember.

The main thing we liked was the simple "Hey Listen" activation.

What we learned

We learned that building an AI assistant is not just about making the AI answer questions.

We also need to think about how information is recorded, understood, saved, and found later.

What's next for Listen

In the future, we want Listen to do more things like automatically create reminders, detect promises and tasks, and connect information from different conversations.

We want Listen to become a simple personal memory assistant that helps people remember the things that matter.

Don't just record. Remember.
