inspiration
we intended to get started with web3 and try to understand the concepts behind SSI, DAO's distributed ledger based e-voting (fullstack web2 & analytics)
What it does
if you stare at it it stares back
How we built it
our initial idea was to use NFT's with encrypted metadata for anonymous voting. After some reading we came to the conclusion that this is not the "hedera-way", so we started educating ourselfs about DIDs, VCs with some excursion to zero-knowledge proofs.
Challenges we ran into
lack of web3 foundations some missconceptions about how hedera works we did not manage to get the local hedera node running different versions of 'hedera-did-sdk-js' and documentation/examples confusing terminology INVALID_SIGNATURE sleep deprivation ... many more
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we think we might now have a rough idea about how to tackle the challenge. a series of technical difficulties prevented us from actually getting something running
What we learned
when diving into a new field, start with a trivial problem. too many loose ends cause confusion
What's next for liquid vote
get the basics together first
Built With
