Inspiration
Web3 has endless opinions with near-zero cost, creating noise. I wanted attention to become a measurable signal instead of free talk. 1USD Accelerator uses a $1 minimum stake to price opinions and turn consensus into a market signal.
What it does
A $1 micro prediction/attention market: users place a $1 Yes/No position. An automated market maker maps collective belief into a price (probability-like signal) for trend discovery, project filtering, and attention validation.
How we built it
We use an LMSR-style market maker: price moves with trades, and pushing price toward 0%/100% becomes increasingly expensive, which reduces manipulation. Intuition: small early capital creates signals; later it becomes costly to force the market.
Challenges we ran into
UX explanation cost: explain why price moves and why extremes get expensive in seconds.
Parameter tuning: ( b ) too small is volatile; too large is sluggish.
Fairness & anti-abuse: MVP starts with minimal rules + auditable logs, then hardens.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
Signal quality depends on friction + UX, not just math.
Mechanisms must be translated into UI: sliders, cost hints, PnL previews.
Cold start is critical, so we keep entry at $1 and focus on a shareable demo.
What's next for liqpass
Ship a usable demo (real trades, curve, stats)
Build trend/project leaderboards (visualize signals)
Harden mechanism + anti-manipulation rules
