Inspiration:

I originally joined Meta Horizon Worlds out of casual curiosity—to meet new people, explore a few worlds, and attend Music Valley concerts. I didn’t expect to stay long. That changed one day when I met a kind and beautiful person in Horizon Central. She invited me to explore worlds with her, and I quickly became captivated by the artistry and beauty of the experiences. I hadn’t realized just how vast and limitless the creative potential of Horizon truly was.

My biggest inspiration came from Northern Lights by Dunder Buildz and Cosmic Cove. The visual storytelling, environment design, and atmosphere in those worlds ignited something inside me. They showed me what was possible when imagination meets powerful tools—and I’ve been chasing that creative spark ever since.

How I Built It:

This world began with me simply clicking the “Create a World” button—something that felt far more intimidating than I expected. I was met with a blank, flat plane, unsure where or how to begin. Over the next few days, I immersed myself in the Meta Creator’s Program Guide and scoured YouTube for tutorials. What started as small, hesitant steps turned into a full-on creative mission.

While I built Dreamscape solo, I leaned heavily on community input, feedback from fellow creators, and the invaluable mentorship of Dunder Buildz to help push my ideas forward. Every small win gave me the confidence to take on bigger creative challenges.

The world is built on a simple but powerful premise - Let your stress dissolve into the snowy landscape and glowing night sky.

You can gather with friends on sling chairs by the fireplace, lay back in the tent and gaze at the Blue Planet view, or throw on your dancing shoes and vibe to the hottest EDM tracks in the Music Cabin. I tag all the DJs I feature on Instagram, and many of them have responded with positive feedback, which keeps me motivated and connected.

For fun, you can challenge yourself to jump into the Dream Tube, or simply chill in the Snow Cabin while romantic music plays in the background.

The world is constantly evolving — shaped by user feedback, creative experimentation, and a desire to provide an immersive escape that mixes music, nature, and connection. Dreamscape is not just a place to visit; it’s a feeling, a vibe, and a world meant to inspire. Challenges:

My most difficult challenge was creating a realistic snow mountain landscape using Blender and importing it into Meta as an FBX file. Matching the snow terrain to my intended theme while making it blend organically with the environment proved to be far more complex than I had anticipated. After consulting with Dunder Buildz, I found the motivation to push through the roadblocks.

The next major hurdle was building a 3D model of a cabin entirely from scratch. I followed a YouTube tutorial, but it wasn’t easy—missing even one small step meant having to rewind and repeat hours of work. I wanted to give up more times than I can count. But thanks to support from my Meta friends—and the voice in my gut telling me to keep going—I completed the Snow Cabin in about a week. It’s now the centerpiece of my world and one of my proudest creations to date.

After consulting with a scriptwriter about ways to improve optimization in my world, I hit a creative wall trying to learn scripting on my own. To move forward, I decided to hire MetaQuestGodVr, a skilled scripter, to implement a few key features—such as replacing rotation animations with a more efficient rotating planet script and creating a functional door script. Despite his packed schedule and my initial struggles, my persistence paid off. Through trial, error, and careful study, I eventually taught myself how to create both a sliding door script and a rotating planet script. It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding learning experience that gave me a deeper understanding of how scripting can enhance both performance and interactivity in a world.

Accomplishments: Building the Snow Cabin is easily my most intricate and rewarding achievement in this project. However, creating my first functional door script, after an entire month of trial and error, felt like an even bigger personal victory. It proved that persistence pays off.

Another proud moment was designing a signpost inspired by the Autism Playground world. I replicated a 2D image into a 3D design, paying close attention to colors and form. These small wins, though seemingly minor, brought me huge creative fulfillment.

But more than any object I’ve built, the most rewarding part has been inviting others into my world—watching their eyes light up, seeing them inspired to build something of their own. That’s what makes me feel like a true creator.

Next Steps:

I have many goals ahead to match the scope of my creative imagination. So far, I’ve learned how to import models, apply textures, set a skybox, and integrate music and media into my world. My next big milestone is to master TypeScripter.

I want to bring my world to to reality with features like spaceship navigation, broomstick flying mechanics, and a leaderboard-based mini-game. These interactive elements are the missing ingredients that will make my world not just a place to visit—but a place to return to again and again.
