We were inspired by old internet forums to build a digital community platform. LinkUp allows the user to view community events in their area and create an account to sign up to or post events of their own. The frontend was built using Html, css and some javascript shareware, the backend with php and all posts and accounts stored in a SQL database. Our biggest challenges on both ends were styling/formatting the page and making the posting system functional. By overcoming these hurdles we became much more confident in web development and overall this project was a lot of fun.
