Inspiration

Finding a backlink is easy. Finding one worth placing is not. Most directories mix real sites with thin pages and listings that were never checked by a person. LinkTRX started from a simpler rule: quality backlinks, exchanged one for one.

What it does

LinkTRX is an SEO platform where website owners exchange quality backlinks. Every listing is reviewed by hand before it goes public.

You spend 1 credit to open 1 backlink detail, including where the link should be placed. Submit your own site and, once it is approved, you receive credits. One listing is also free to view each day. After you unlock a listing, a workbench helps you place the link and track what is still unfinished. Listings can include the category, follow or nofollow, step screenshots, and a typical time for the task.

How we built it

The site is a Next.js application with React and TypeScript. PostgreSQL and Prisma store listings, purchases, comments, and work tasks. Sign-in uses NextAuth. Images, including step screenshots, are stored on Cloudflare R2. The public listing and the workbench are part of the same product, so opening a backlink can turn into a tracked placement task.

Challenges we ran into

Keeping the directory useful means reviewing listings instead of accepting every submission. The exchange also has to stay one for one: viewing a detail spends a credit, while an approved submission earns credits back. The workbench then has to remember which placements are still unfinished without mixing them up with links the member has not opened.

What we learned

A backlink directory only helps if the pages are real and the next step is clear. Showing the placement steps, and how long the task usually takes, matters as much as the link itself.

What's next

Keep reviewing new listings, and make the workbench clearer for people placing their first backlinks.
