Inspiration
This word game is a nostalgic game of my childhood. I wanted to make it digital, but it was too complex to code as the game is more dynamic as each letter changes the direction of the game. It requires multiple checks to check whether it is a word already. With low code tools like Flutterflow and Gemini AI, it was the right time to implement my dream game app. It would have been extremely difficult to build it from scratch without low code & AI.
What it does
- LINK LETTER is a word game that you play against an AI opponent.
- The player and AI will get alternate turns to enter a single alphabet each time.
- The goal of the game is to construct a word letter by letter.
- While strategically avoiding coming up with the last letter of the word.
- The player starts first.
- If the player forms the word, AI will be the winner.
- If AI forms the word, player will be the winner.
- Whoever wins, You'll get to know the meaning of the word and its usage in a sample sentence.
Thanks to Gemini AI for making this happen!
LinkLetter - Word game of the year :)
How we built it
I built LinkLetter with a combination of low code tool like Flutterflow and Gemini AI
Challenges we ran into
Had to iterate the prompt multiple times, split into multiple steps so as to ensure it works properly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm glad that my nostalgic childhood game is finally out there for everyone to play.
What we learned
I got to learn game design, UI/UX, workflows, Gemini AI integration, prompts.
What's next for LinkLetter
If LinkLetter is well received,
- expand to other languages
- multiple game levels - easy, medium, hard
and lot more...
Built With
- flutterflow
- gemini
