Linking two API's

Inspiration

I wanted to learn how to connect API's

What it does

sends requests for songs to youtube API and then plays the song from youtube on Discord voice server.

How we built it

We followed the instructions provided on autocode.com

Challenges we ran into

There were some typo's and some slightly unclear directions in the step-by-step guide that required troubleshooting/.js knowledge to overcome.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I created a bot that works on my discord server! I was able to understand the js code and troubleshoot the problem with some help from a more experienced dev.

What we learned

I learned that I have a lot to learn about javascript. I also learned that while step-by-step guides are useful, you are still required to proofread the steps and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

What's next for Linking two API's

Read through and understand what all of the commands due. There was quite a bit of handwavery going on in the guide, and very little explanation as to what was happening between the two systems.
