Inspiration

Many professionals struggle to stay consistent on LinkedIn. Between long work hours and content fatigue, most people either post irregularly or stop entirely. We wanted to solve this by building a tool that helps busy professionals write, schedule, and engage on LinkedIn, without the burnout.

What it does

Linkgenie helps users generate authentic LinkedIn posts in their own voice, schedule them at optimal times, and even comment intelligently using AI or comment using audio transcribe. It keeps users active and visible on LinkedIn, making content creation simple and consistent.

How we built it

We built the app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring clean UI and stable performance. The frontend complements our main Linkgenie platform. Since LinkedIn’s DOM structure changes dynamically when rendered from the server, we designed the system to handle class name variations and ensure buttons remain stable and functional.

Challenges we ran into

Managing dynamic class names from LinkedIn’s HTML structure. Ensuring consistent button functionality across LinkedIn’s frequently updated DOM. Integrating the scheduling, writing, and commenting features smoothly. Working with LinkedIn apis especially on handling Images. Using same auth for the extension and the web app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a system that allows professionals with limited time to stay consistent and grow on LinkedIn. The integration between AI writing, scheduling, and commenting is seamless. It’s a complete personal branding assistant for busy creators and 9-to-5 professionals. And we build an app we actually use.

What we learned

We learned the importance of adaptability when dealing with third-party platforms that change frequently. We also realized how valuable automation is for creators, saving time while keeping content quality high. We learned how you can share auth between a chrome extension and a web app.

What's next for Linkgenie

We’re expanding Linkgenie to include analytics, voice-based post creation, and deeper personalization. The goal is to make it the ultimate AI-powered LinkedIn growth tool, helping anyone grow their influence faster and easier than ever.
