🏆 Linkball is a brand new idea made for Block Magic: A Chainlink Hackathon. It uses Chainlink VRF, Chainlink API and Chainlink Automation services. Linkball is nominated in the Gaming and Consumer Apps Track.

Inspiration 🌟

Linkball was inspired by our dream to change the way people play fantasy football. We wanted to make a game that combines blockchain technology and AI-driven simulations for a fun and exciting experience. 🚀 We love both technology and football, so we decided to create a game that brings out the best of both worlds. 💡

What it does ⚽️

Linkball is a fantasy football game where you can create, manage, and compete with your dream teams in a virtual world. 🌐 In the demo version players can compete each other, but in the future we plan to introduce different leagues and different playing modes. You can play AI-generated synthetic matches, make blockchain transactions, and enjoy the thrill of managing your team in real-time. 🔥 From picking the best players to making the best moves during matches, Linkball offers a fun and engaging experience for all football fans. 🎮 In the demo version player can select the footballers from a marketplace to build a dream team. Furthermore, players can declare the formation to refine the strategy, customize the jerseys, train the players or deploy fortune cards to get more chances to win. 🀄 Each footballer has its own skill set that means players should not forget leg days if they want to own a legendary team. 🦶

How we built it 🏗️

We built Linkball using the latest technologies: Chainlink’s services, blockchain and AI algorithms. We implemented different game development strategies to create a feasible product. 💻 The backend uses AI, random-based algorithms and built-in rules to be able to mimic real life soccer events as a synthetic game. Blockchain is for security, transparency and flexibility, while the frontend is designed to be easy and fun to use. 🛠️ We worked through many stages of design, testing, and improvement to make sure the game is high-quality and innovative. 🌈

Challenges we ran into 💥

We faced several challenges while making Linkball. 🧠 Integrating blockchain technology needed careful planning for security and scalability. ⚙️ Optimizing AI for realistic match simulations was technically challenging and time consuming, since we created train and validation datasets based on worldwide soccer matches from the past 23 years. 🤯 Also, creating a user-friendly interface for all types of players was a big task. 🌊 Despite these challenges, we stayed focused and committed to delivering a great game that is fun to play with. 💪
