Link2Learn

What it does

Link2Learn turns your messy pile of bookmarks, tabs, and stray notes into a structured, personalized learning plan. You simply paste your links, choose your goals (timeframe, style, and difficulty), and the app generates:

  • A concept map showing how topics connect.
  • A timeline scheduling what to study and when.
  • A Waste Bin that filters out irrelevant links.

How we built it

  • Tech Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, React Folow and CSS, featherless.ai, deployed on Vercel.
  • Core Logic: The app sends the user's settings and raw text dump to an AI backend. The AI processes the unstructured data and returns a structured plan, which the frontend renders into clean, visual components.

Challenges we ran into

  • Parsing Chaos: Transforming highly unstructured, messy inputs into a coherent, organized structure required extensive prompt tuning.
  • Filtering Wisely: Calibrating the AI to accurately flag truly irrelevant content without accidentally deleting helpful resources.
  • Data Visualization: Designing flexible components that could simultaneously represent both relational data (the map) and sequential data (the timeline).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a tool that accommodates how people actually gather information—messily and from scattered sources. It is incredibly rewarding to watch a chaotic mix of links instantly transform into a clean, actionable study plan.

What we learned

  • Handling Ambiguity: Building an AI app is less about the model itself and more about designing prompts and UIs that gracefully handle messy, incomplete human input.
  • Visual Trust: Users trust a curriculum much more when the structure is presented visually via timelines and maps rather than as a wall of text.
