Inspiration

Inspired by the current cost of living crisis, and the need for sustainability, we wish to promote healthy cooking and avoidance of waste, especially for students

What it does

Recommends recipes based on images of leftover ingredients

How we built it

Flutter+Dart for our app, using a custom YOLOv5 vision model, and a database of tried and tested recipes

Challenges we ran into

Collecting enough data for our model was incredibly difficult, so we ended up having to use only a small subset of items that I brought from home

What we learned

What's next for Linguini

Adding support for manual entry, as well as options for different dietary requirements. More recipes would also be welcome, or the use of a recipe API
