We made this game because we were inspired of the old japanese language learning games on the DS.
What it does
We made this game because we were inspired of the old japanese language learning games on the DS.
How we built it
We used pygame and A*-search algorithm to identify the best possible destination for the car from current location to destination. The driver needs to follow them to deliver pizza on time.
Challenges we ran into
The issue is latency where we use arrows to move car on the screen, but it has a high latency and sometimes the TTS repeats itself even after we completed the move.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the fact we have the game in the vision we wanted, and that its functional.
What we learned
We learned how to design games using pygame for 2-D game development.
What's next for LinguaPizza Express
If we were to continue building the game we would add more real-life chat scenarios similar to pizza delivery.
