🌟 ##Inspiration LinguaClone Tutor was inspired by a simple belief: language learning should feel personal, interactive, and inspiring. I wanted to create a platform where learners could bring their own goals—like preparing for travel, exploring song lyrics, or practicing grammar—and instantly build lessons around them, supported by high-quality AI feedback.

This project was also fueled by a passion for prompt engineering: seeing how far a single, well-crafted prompt could go in generating a real, production-ready web application.

✨ ##What it does LinguaClone Tutor is a modern, AI-powered language learning web app that helps users:

Build custom journeys from any text, audio, or topic

Simulate real conversations with live correction

Get instant, high-fidelity voice playback through ElevenLabs

Receive clear, friendly feedback and grammar explanations

Collaborate with friends and track progress

Optionally clone their own voice to make lessons feel even more personal

🛠️ ##How we built it This entire application was scaffolded from a single prompt, which I refined over five iterations to achieve a precise, modular structure.

Key technologies included:

ReactJS for a responsive, component-driven frontend

TailwindCSS for a clean, vibrant design

Framer Motion for smooth, animated interactions

Supabase for authentication and data storage

ElevenLabs API for realistic text-to-speech playback

Mock data to keep the app functional even if services are offline

A lot of focus went into designing clear JSON data models for users, journeys, and lessons so everything could integrate seamlessly.

🧗 ##Challenges we ran into One of the hardest challenges was compressing complex requirements into a single prompt while still getting clean, maintainable output.

It took several attempts to:

Ensure responsive layouts worked well on mobile and desktop

Make animations feel smooth and purposeful rather than distracting

Integrate ElevenLabs audio in a modular way

Keep the UX intuitive for users of all levels

Prompt clarity and detail were critical—every word mattered to guide the AI to deliver exactly what was needed.
