Lingo is inspired by the concept of activity during the pandemic. Everyone has probably felt really lonely and bored at one point so why not create an online community where you and your friends can share new media and follow along with each other!
How it works
Lingo is a website where users can find and share the media content that they are currently using or explore their friends' activity and the current trends.
How we built it
We built our project using html and css for the front-end and used python along with django and spotify api for the back-end.
Challenges we ran into
We have faced many challenges including learning how to program in the new languages that we were not familiar with, connecting the user interface with the back-end code, creating databases and also figuring out how to implement the spotify API into our code.
What we learned
We learned a lot about API’s (Spotify), new coding languages (HTML, CSS, JS, Python) and how to design and connect an efficient front-end design (Figma) to a back-end database.
What's next for Lingo
Incorporating the api code so that current activity and some functions are fully working!
