LINEAGE LAUNCHPAD© is a history-inspired augmented reality project where our Ancestors from the past appear at selected New York historical sites, in-person and virtually, to share their words of wisdom, strategic advice and calming assurances.

Within the LINEAGE LAUNCHPAD© historical universe, players could experience visceral interactions that are similar to the traditions of African Griot Circles known as places to gain wisdom from the Elders but also an environment that encourages group participation and sharing of stories. Our goal is to make LINEAGE LAUNCHPAD© a place for both learning and a space where players feel comfortable and encouraged to share in the storytelling.

Through a variety of devices, participants can immerse themselves within our multi-sensory digital landscape that will employ the most dynamic aspects of games like: Jurassic World Alive and Pokémon-GO; family history exploration platforms like Ancestry.com and 23andMe; and personal therapy apps like HeadSpace and CALM. LINEAGE LAUNCHPAD© will build a culturally validating virtual-space that is informative, affirming and inspirational.
