Inspiration
We saw a lot of our friends asking us for help studying and learning during the lockdown and many others looking for a place to volunteer. To help those who are seeking help with homework and studying, as well as those looking for volunteer opportunities, we created Limitless Learning as a solution for both.
What it does
Limitless Learning is a platform where students can come to receive help from other volunteers and students. We provide a plethora of subjects that are driven by students themselves.
How we built it
Limitless Learning was built using programming languages and libraries HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery, P5, Firebase, and Java (for the app). Additionally, we used photoshop to create certain images, posters, and logos to include in our website.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were the logical errors when it came to creating a functional sign-in page. Additionally, we ran into a problem when we were trying to format our parallax scrolling. Other things such as the Firebase was really difficult integrating into both the app and the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to be able to help our fellow students and friends in a time of distress and need. We are proud of building a professional website that manifests our vision into a functional solution.
What we learned
Through this project, we were able to learn how to integrate multiple subjects like physics and computer science together to create a web page. Additionally, we became more adept at using programming languages, programming logic, and project management. Other things were integrating the Google Cloud Firebase.
What's next for Limitless Learning
Limitless Learning hopes to become a non-profit organization that people can depend on during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
