Inspiration

Youth the asset of the country the real backbone of every nation and the pillar upon which any nation is built.They are the future and the nations future truly lies with them.Hence it is very essential that the youth spent their time in the most productive manner. Social media, this could be a boon or bane. It is quiet observable fact that the youth spend majority of their time being passive and not utilising their energy and time in the most precious way. So, we have taken a little effort to present LIMAPP. This is a 100% useful and very essential app for today's youngsters who are spending majority of their time reproductively with a heightened peak in the number of addictive users day by day. This app is nothing less than a proper guide ,that monitors only the time that we spend on social media each day. With this set up, it is easier for those young minds to quit the social media line or rather reduce by a very huge amount. The app stops functioning after the desired time. The app enables parents to have a keen observation on the time their children spend on social media and also various other entertaining online platforms. Hence LIMAPP provides way through with the parents are able to regulate the time their children spend without interfering with their privacy. Adding to that, the very security system of our app makes it a rocket science for the children to do other practices. The increased social media usage of youngsters is one major concerned and this thought was our inspiration to bring up this idea. Let the social media not engulf us. Keep it to its limits.

What it does?

The app is basically child security app. It monitors social media access and other internet usage of their children. It monitors the time and once the desired time is over, the app fails to respond and children cannot amend any settings on their own. Any modification regarding the setting asks the owner for an OTP which is send to their parents mobile number. Also time can be restricted, that is , use of the app during the particular time of the day is restricted.

How we built?

Through various brainstorming and online meetings , we gave our idea a basic structure. Then the work was divided among the teammates. We used figma to give a shape to our idea. Constant communication made our work a walk in the park.

Challenges we ran into

As we were beginners , it was quite tedious. Even though we had a well sketched idea, to execute it was not so easy. It took time to bring up this functioning model.

Accomplishments we ran into

Since we were beginners, completing the task give us immense happiness. And we were exposed to new platforms and ideas. Learning Figma is considered as one of our biggest achievements. Participating in hackathon is our biggest happiness since we are all new towards this platform.

What we learned

We learned innumerable things those that we though we will never learn. We learnt figma and the experience of working remotely as a team was fascinating and gave a lot of insight.
