Inspiration
My own experience into the world of coding was very difficult. It was hard to understand concepts when they were covered with difficult technical terms and confusing descriptions. I wanted to make it easier for people who have a difficult time with understanding these terms.
What it does
The website is designed to lead students into an easy entry into the coding world.
How we built it
I built the website through the use of several youtube videos and a little bit of experience with CSS & HTML from my scripting class.
Challenges we ran into
I had very little experience with HTML and CSS before this website. It was very difficult to begin learning how to format and program various elements of the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I hadn't been able to start the project on Friday and woke up Saturday morning with about 20 hours and very limited knowledge. Being able to see my ideas visualized in a manner similar to how I had imagined them to be is very fulfilling and I feel as if I had learned a lot.
What we learned
I learned a lot about front end coding, HTML elements and CSS in general.
What's next for Lilypad Coding
In the future, I hope to add more content to the website and make it more streamlined and smooth as it currently is more of a rough idea than a fleshed out website. I also hope to organize the main repository more.
