Inspiration

Lily Pad Learning's mission is to make financial learning fun for anyone at any age. According to CBNC, 70% of Americans feel stressed about their finances, and of those, 35% are stressed due to a lack of savings. We decided to build a game to improve financial literacy.

What it does

Our project is a Figma-based website that also features an interactive game hosted by Frank the frog. A user will be asked which age group they are in, either under or over 16 years old, and questions will be tailored to that group. Then, they will play a series of levels that test their financial knowledge by presenting them with two options based on a prompt. They will accrue points by getting questions correct. On the website, we also have a Frankbot that can answer any financial questions.

How we built it

We used Figma to build the website, used to Solana to embed a Phantom wallet, and used Claude ai to help build the wireframe for the game.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first hackathon, so we had to learn new technologies very quickly, like Figma. We also wanted to add more to the interactive game, but ran into subscription obstacles. We also wanted to incorporate Google Studios into our project, but ultimately ran into issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud we were able to build a chatbot, intergrate Solana, and make our first game.

What we learned

We learned how to use technologies that were new to us, like Figma and GitHub.

What's next for Lily Pad Learning

We would like to incorporate more information sources, include a Google Gemini powered Chatbot assistant, increase levels, and educate on even more important topics.
