Inspiration

I love nature, and I wanted to make a game that is inspired by it.

What it does

A game with realistic graphics and sound design with a natural feel, make the player feel real danger for the creatures they control, and feel relaxed while they are eaten by a fish.

How we built it

I used sketchfab for the animal models, Quixel for the water-lily, and OpenAI Sol 5.6 Extra-High for most of the programming. FL-Studio for sound-design and music.

Challenges we ran into

I first planned on making it fully authentic with European frog and fish species, but in the end I needed to mix and match with was available, also due to time-constraint.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It looks and feels amazing, after just one day. (I only found out about the Hackaton on the 18th)

What we learned

How to plan ahead and accept that some-things can not be made out of thin air, and you need to compromise.

What's next for Lily Hop

Make a full fledged Demo for release on itch.io and later on steam. Also if I have the time for it, add more levels and obstacles.
