Lil Paw (Category: Short Form / Social)

Inspiration

This was pure fun, inspired by classic '70s Kung Fu films and satirical action. I wanted to create a proof-of-concept for a social media series: a stray kitten who becomes a martial arts vigilante, trained by a mysterious rodent master.

What it does

This is a 49-second, vertical-format "trailer" for a fictional series. It's a high-concept, action-comedy piece designed specifically for TikTok or Instagram Reels.

How we built it

This was designed for a 9x16 vertical format. I used AI to generate high-energy, cinematic shots of the cat and rats. The "trailer" VO was written to be over-the-top, and I cut it all in Premiere Pro with fast-paced, cheesy sound effects.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was getting the AI to understand the "Kung Fu" concept for animals. It took a lot of experimentation to get a cat to look like it was in a "dojo."

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It's a perfect 49-second loop. The concept is instantly clear, it's funny, and it looks professional. The over-the-top VO is a personal favorite.

What we learned

A strong, funny voice-over can instantly sell a high-concept idea. The "To be continued..." makes it feel like a real series that people would want to watch.

What's next for Lil Paw

This is absolutely a proof-of-concept for a series. I plan to make more "episodes" of Lil Paw's adventures.
