Likileaks

Inspiration

News all over the internet are mainly posted by mainstream media companies (whom might be forced to spread fake news due to political reasons) or from untrusted individuals over different social media platforms like twitter, facebook and reddit. Likileaks is the solution.

What it does

Likileaks allows users to browse news based on particular hashtags or on how trending they are. Every news post has two buttons where users can either assert that this is a true news story or if it's fake. Based on that, users have credibility points that increase or decrease based on the news you reacted to or based on the reactions of the news you posted. More credibility points = more likely to be telling the truth = more trusted as a news source.

Using vanilla javascript for frontend and node js for backend.
