Beshoy, a shy Egyptian living in London, slips into an African evangelical church, quietly praying in Arabic for strength, energy, and the ability to “last” with his British girlfriend — confident no one can understand him.
But Chad, a cheerful church regular who unexpectedly speaks Arabic, overhears the prayer and bursts into laughter, unintentionally drawing the priest’s attention. Believing Beshoy is in deep spiritual pain, the priest gathers the entire congregation to pray for him. As the crowd passionately chants “Ameen!”, thinking they’re saving his soul, Beshoy secretly uses their support to pray for something very different.
A playful dark comedy about faith, shame, miscommunication, and the hilarious power of language.
