Inspiration
In the game Death Stranding, there is a similar mechanism tracking something normal people couldn’t see. Based on the theme of connectivity, we decided to develop a project that tracks the lightest position. Where there is light, there is hope, and there is connectivity.
What it does
Scan around with two motors (x-axis & y-axis respectively). After finding the location, it keeps pointing towards the best location. The rest three motors will do periodic motions(like fingers) indicating the best location.
How we built it
Using Arduino, breadboard, servo motors, light sensor.
Challenges we ran into
The Bluetooth shield was not working appropriately. We spent several hours trying to connect to it with our laptops so that we could communicate with it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Implementing five motors and coordinating their motions. Successfully find the lightest position.
What we learned
Arduino debugging skills.
What's next for LightSeeker寻光计划
If possible, develop a UI interface on the laptop that could communicate with it using Bluetooth.
