Inspiration -

Mental health is a serious issue that can be cured not necessarily by complex therapies but just by some simple steps that give happiness and make one feel better. Owing to the Covid -19 pandemic, people were quarantined away from their families, almost all sources of entertainment shut down, things became boring and social life was limited to only texts now. All this definitely affected people's mental health, thus, serving us as inspiration for the creation of a website on mental health.

What it does -

The main features of our website are:

  1. Paint section where you can draw whatever you feel like.
  2. Along with the painting you can even listen to music with just a click on the music icon.
  3. We also have a diary/note taking section where you can write your heart out.
  4. We also have a meditating section which will help you to calm down.
  5. We have also provided hotline numbers of psychiatrists and therapists whom you can contact in case you have a problem.
  6. Chatbot, which is always there at your service.
  7. Blogs/Articles according to your mood, for you to read and relax.

How we built it -

we built it using HTML5, CSS3, javascript and combined all our individual codes using Github.

Challenges we ran into -

  1. Not familiar with Github.
  2. Problems in compiling one of the individual codes as it had too many .js files.
  3. Fixing the footer.
  4. Fixing javascript for the meditation page.
  5. Fixing card titles.
  6. javascript of the notes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of -

the fact that all the team members were new to hackathons, but still were able to manage Github, build a beautiful website and also fix all the bugs perfectly.

What we learned -

  1. Compiling all individual codes together on Github.
  2. Working together in a team.
  3. How to publish websites on the internet.
  4. How to make Chatbots
  5. How to make paint and diary using html,css and javascript.
  6. How to add functional music playlist.
  7. How to make animated footers.
  8. parallax scrolling effect.

What's next for lighthouse -

customising the website more so that people can add their own stories and blogs too, and also using APIs to make the music better.
