Inspiration:
With our desire to learn how to create an app and love for botany we decided on challenge 2. Pursing this task was hard, but we were able to persevere
What it does:
The intent of the app is to scan a plant of any kind, in our provided example we used a clover. after the scan the code will than process data set information through the back end that will help identify the plant and relay information associated with the plant. ie name, scientific name, impact on the science world, etc.
How we built it:
Using Anaconda, Python and visual studio code + blood sweat and tears
Challenges we ran into:
Finding a way to compile the two halves of our code (one half was on anaconda and the other was done visual studios).
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Finishing on time despite restarting at 9 PM last night.
What we learned:
That even though our progress was slow, it's still progress! Learning and asking for help are part of the growing process and there is no need to rush when it comes to learning new material.
What's next for LightBULB :
Broadening our Data Base To give our users accessibility to plants outside and inside Hudson Alpha's Greenhouse
Built With
- anaconda
- python
