Inspiration
The inspiration came from the idea that every connection in our world—whether between people, societies, or nature—can be visualized as pulses of light. In the age of AI, these connections grow even more complex and beautiful, and I wanted to translate that invisible fabric of relationships into a cinematic fantasy experience.
What it does
Light Pulse — Memory of Connection is a short fantasy film that follows a single spark of light as it expands to form networks across cities, forests, rivers, people, and AI, eventually wrapping the entire Earth in a glowing web. It visualizes the theme of “connection” in an emotional, poetic, and highly visual way.
How we built it
The project was developed through a combination of AI-driven tools and creative direction.
MidJourney: for visual concept art and storyboard frames
KlingAI: for cinematic video generation and animation flow
ChatGPT: for narrative structuring, scriptwriting, and prompt engineering
SunoAI:BGM
Post-processing was used to align colors, pacing, and sound to create a unified fantasy aesthetic.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was balancing fantasy-like abstraction with photorealistic clarity. Too much abstraction would weaken the narrative, while too much realism would make the imagery less poetic. Another challenge was unifying outputs from different AI models into a coherent and seamless cinematic story. Finding the right balance between tools required careful iteration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of how the project embodies multi-layered “connections”—between humans, technology, and nature—while still delivering an emotionally powerful, fantasy-like cinematic journey. The piece also demonstrates how different AI tools can be combined to create a consistent, polished visual story.
What we learned
We learned that AI is not just a tool for automation, but a collaborative creative partner. By treating each model as a “co-creator” with its own strengths, we could experiment more freely, discover unexpected visuals, and refine them into a cohesive design. We also deepened our understanding of how narrative structure is essential in making AI-generated content emotionally resonant.
What's next for Light Pulse — Memory of Connection
Next, we aim to expand the piece into an immersive installation format where viewers can step into the network of light—through VR, AR, or projection mapping. The goal is to let audiences experience “connection” not only as a film, but as an interactive environment where they can feel part of the pulsating web of life, society, and AI.
