Inspiration
We were getting tired of creative blocks hitting at the worst times and all story generators we knew of compromised either on quantity or quality. So we decided to make a simple yet effective one on our own that gives you quality beginnings for your next story and doesn't;t compromise on the quantity.
What it does
It's a simple 2 input system where the first input is the character name and the second, their pronouns. It then spouts one of the story beginnings we've written ourselves with a 300 word beginning for you to liftoff from there!
How I built it
The project was built using Android Studio, lots of coffee and a very determined 5 hours.
Challenges I ran into
Both of us were pretty new to Android Studio and Java so it was quite a learning curve. We had people join and leave our group until we decided to just go on our own.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Building a working app with Android Studio in a very limited timeframe.
What I learned
Android Studio and polished our writing skills.
What's next for LiftOff
Increase the database by adding more stories. Making the app more efficient in general.
