Liftoff

Inspiration

The low code movement inspired me to create a project that simulates space with very little code, only using the React.js framework and a few extra lines.

What it does

It uses a custom cursor component to create a rocket, and a background of space that moves depending on whether you click the text.

How we built it

Using the React.js framework completely in-house, with no additional libraries.

Challenges we ran into

It was relatively smooth, but getting the cursor to work was a bit difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It works and is available for demo!

What we learned

Low-code is fun and fast, and could be the precursor (haha, get it!) to a new generation of technology and coding.

What's next for Liftoff

Better animation integrations, and custom personalized rockets (such as adding people's faces).
