Inspiration
We see a lot of depressing news every day, and wanted a way to see the brighter side.
What it does
Lift.news aggregates positive news, and has many features to track your reading and boost your mood.
How we built it
We used Next.JS, typescript, tailwind css, and Supabase. Our app version uses swift and swiftui
Challenges we ran into
We had issues with data parsing that we overcame eventually, and we also had issues with full database connectivity and reliability.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Cross-platform integration with a database and a full working launched website that users can access and signup with.
What we learned
We learned a lot about data parsing, and building intuitive UIs.
What's next for lift.news
We hope to add support for more news sites, collaborative features, and submit the mobile app to the app store.
