Inspiration - We created this wellness tracker because we wanted to help people take control of their health and well-being in a simple, accessible way. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be hard to stay on top of fitness, nutrition, and mental health. We wanted to create a tool that makes tracking progress easier, more engaging, and personalized. Our goal was to build something that could guide users toward healthier habits, while also offering the support and motivation they need to stay consistent. Ultimately, we wanted to make wellness feel achievable for everyone, no matter where they are on their journey.

What it does - This project is a wellness tracker designed to help users stay on top of their health and wellness goals. It allows them to track key aspects of their daily life, including physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and mental well-being. The app features a calendar to organize tasks and events, notifications to remind users of important wellness activities, and a simple interface to log workouts, meals, and other wellness-related data. The goal is to make it easier for users to track their progress, stay motivated, and improve their overall health by offering a holistic approach to wellness in one convenient platform.

How we built it - We built this wellness tracker by combining a range of technologies to create a seamless and functional experience. First, we designed the user interface using HTML and CSS to ensure it was clean, intuitive, and visually appealing. The calendar and interactive elements were brought to life with JavaScript, allowing users to easily navigate their wellness goals and events. For the notifications feature, we leveraged browser capabilities to send reminders and updates directly to users.

Throughout the development process, we focused on creating a user-friendly design that made it easy to log workouts, meals, and other wellness data. We also prioritized making the app responsive, so it would work well on both desktop and mobile devices. Finally, we used collaborative tools to keep track of progress, share ideas, and troubleshoot together, which helped us stay on track and build a product we’re really proud of.

Challenges we ran into - One major problem me and my group ran into was that we attempted to implement a fine-tuned AI into our website. Implementing this AI, would help users ask questions about health. And by doing this it would be more user friendly, and also more hands-on. Despite our attempts to implement it, we could have not.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - We’re really proud of how far we’ve come with this project. One of our biggest accomplishments has been turning our ideas into a working wellness tracker that’s functional and user-friendly. We’ve learned so much along the way, especially when it comes to coding and designing the interface. It feels great to see everything come together, from the calendar to the notifications feature. We’re also proud of how well we’ve worked together as a team, whether it was brainstorming, troubleshooting, or supporting each other through the challenges

What we learned - We’ve gained invaluable experience in several areas throughout this project. We’ve improved our communication skills, learning how to collaborate effectively and share ideas within a team. We’ve also developed our leadership qualities, taking charge of different aspects of the project and guiding each other toward our common goals. On the technical side, we’ve deepened our understanding of coding with languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which allowed us to build and design the wellness tracker. And most importantly, we learned how to communicate.

What's next for Wellness Trackr - We are working on turning our wellness tracker into a fully functional mobile app. Our goal is to continuously improve the app by addressing any bugs, fixing mistakes, and adding new features to enhance the user experience
