The inspiration for LifeSync: AI Wellness Companion came from a desire to make mental and emotional wellness support accessible and continuous. With the rise of wearable AI technology like the Omi device, we envisioned an AI that could be a lifelong wellness companion, adapting to users' moods, goals, and personal journeys.

What It Does

LifeSync is an AI-powered app designed for the Omi device, offering:

  • Real-time Mood Tracking: Detects emotional cues and monitors mood trends over time.
  • Personalized Coaching: Provides goal-oriented coaching with tailored reminders and guidance.
  • Daily Wellness Insights: Generates actionable wellness summaries based on daily interactions.
  • Social Interaction Feedback: Offers summaries of positive interactions and areas for growth.

How We Built It

LifeSync was developed using:

  • Languages and Frameworks: Python, JavaScript, and React Native for cross-platform compatibility.
  • Machine Learning Models: We integrated NLP models for sentiment and emotion analysis to detect user mood and engagement patterns.
  • Cloud Services: Google Cloud Platform for real-time data processing.
  • APIs: Open-source NLP and emotion detection APIs for advanced sentiment analysis.

Challenges We Ran Into

Creating accurate emotion detection from audio transcriptions was one of our biggest challenges. We also needed to optimize data processing for real-time feedback without compromising the app’s responsiveness or user experience.
