Inspiration
Blood transfusion saves lives and improves health, but many patients requiring transfusion do not have timely access to safe blood. Providing safe and adequate blood should be an integral part of every country’s national health care policy and infrastructure.
What it does
It helps both donor and receiver to donate or ask for blood in few clicks. We often receive Whatsapp messages regarding need of donor of specific blood type. Our site links the donor and receiver together through our efficient database in few clicks.
How we built it
We use HTML, CSS, JS as frontend of the site, animation were inspired by Canva, some created using blender and backend was build through firebase. Little determination and devotion went a long way in this process
Challenges we ran into
Bringing together all the different components of the system was difficult but not impossible.
- Integrating Firebase with custom javascript code.
- Receiving the accurate data from the website to firebase. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of The frontend seems simple yet elegant. The design and the colour combination took lot of trial and error to become perfect. ## What we learned We learnt teamwork, and anything is possible if we put our minds to it. We also learnt that firebase is a very good option for backend for hackathons. We learnt integration of firebase with javascript. ## What's next for Lifestream We will be trying to expand it, and try to make the experience more user friendly. We will be implementing notification features for receivers.
