Inspiration

My Inspiration started from my vacation to California. I went to California to visit my Cousin's and Aunt's. Our cousin took us in his car to the climbing gym. His car was an Electric Tesla car (keep in mind, we never had a electric powered car). I was in the front seat of his car and we were in the middle of driving. He then said to me "Do you want to see Self-Driving Mode?" I was like "Ok." Inside I was excited. I never tried out Self-Driving mode, let along even seen it in person. When the car was in Self-Driving Mode, I saw his hands off the steering wheel. I was a little scared, but astonished. It was an incredible experience. When I saw this Hackathon page, I remembered the Self-Driving car and wondered what would Ambulances be like with Self-Driving Mode.

What it does

This is a Self-Driving Ambulance Simulation

How we built it

Using AI-powered computer vision, autonomous navigation, and real-time emergency decision-making, LifeRoute can detect surrounding vehicles and pedestrians, navigate roads and intersections, and respond to hazards. The entire system runs inside the CARLA autonomous-driving simulator, allowing us to safely demonstrate how an AI-driven ambulance could respond to emergencies without testing on real roads.

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges I ran into like installation error, simulation bug, and back-to-back collision errors. Although, the main problem that happened was the town render failure. When I was getting many collision errors with pedestrians and cars, I tried to change the map because it would be better to have a less complex map with lower features and less bugs, then a more complex map with much more features and many bugs. With this though, the map wasn't rendering properly and I had issues with this bug.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of being able to finish this project and complete all of the bugs.

What we learned

Learned Clara system, running clara build as well as debugging it.

What's next for LifeRoute

I may attempt to add more features like a dashboard to show where the cars are, like a tesla.
