Thalassemia patients face constant challenges in finding timely blood donors, accessing quality care, and managing their lifelong treatment. This inspired us to build LifePulse, an AI-driven platform that bridges the gap between patients and blood donors while empowering care through smart technology.

During development, we learned how crucial it is to integrate real-time donor prediction with secure communication and education tools — all while maintaining data privacy and usability for users with varying tech access. We leveraged AI models to predict donor availability based on past donation patterns, built a real-time matching system using location and blood group data, and created an intuitive interface for patients, donors, and healthcare providers.

Our biggest challenges were ensuring seamless integration with existing systems like e-RaktKosh and handling data privacy concerns. Additionally, optimizing the AI model to provide reliable donor predictions required multiple iterations and testing with synthetic data.

Overall, LifePulse is more than an app — it’s a lifeline designed to save lives, foster community engagement, and improve the quality of care for Thalassemia patients across India.
