Inspiration
Inspiration
LifePilot was inspired by the idea of making everyday planning easier through natural-language interactions. Students and busy people often struggle to organize tasks, decide priorities, and plan their available time.
What it does
LifePilot is a personal task-management and daily-planning assistant. Users can add tasks using natural language, set task priorities, view their tasks, mark tasks as completed, and generate a suggested schedule based on available hours and priorities.
How we built it
We built LifePilot using Python, FastAPI, HTML, and an MCP server. The web interface sends requests to the application, which uses MCP tools to manage tasks and generate daily plans. Task data is stored locally in JSON.
Challenges we faced
Setting up the Python environment, connecting the web application to the MCP server, and testing the tools were key challenges. We tested task creation, task listing, task completion, and daily-plan generation.
What we learned
We learned how to build a working web application, connect it to MCP tools, manage task data, and test tool calls using MCP Inspector.
What's next
We plan to improve the interface, add reminders and calendar integration, and explore voice-based interactions. The current project is a web simulation inspired by voice-first assistants, not a direct Alexa+ integration.
