LifeOS v1.0: Real-Time MCP Agent Architecture, Alexa+ Simulator & Enterprise Security
We are excited to share a major milestone in the evolution of LifeOS — your agentic AI personal command center for the 2026 Amazon Developer Hackathon!
Over the course of the hackathon, we transformed LifeOS from an initial concept into a production-ready, full-stack monorepo bridging natural-language conversational AI with real-world calendar and task databases.
What's New in LifeOS v1.0
1. 12-Tool Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server
We migrated our backend to the official MCP Streamable HTTP specification (2025-11-25):
- 12 Production Tools: Full CRUD over tasks, calendar events, projects, plus semantic context search, day analysis, and two-phase atomic plan execution.
- Strict Schema Validation: Every tool argument is strongly typed and validated with Zod, guaranteeing zero schema mismatch.
- Sub-50ms Execution: Ultra-low latency database operations powered by Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL 16.
2. Live Agent Activity Feed via Server-Sent Events (SSE)
No more black-box AI! As the agent analyzes your day and coordinates your schedule, every tool invocation, argument payload, execution status, and millisecond latency streams live to the web client in real time.
// Sample MCP tool registration with strict Zod validation
server.registerTool('create_event', {
title: z.string().min(1),
start: z.string().datetime(),
end: z.string().datetime(),
type: z.enum(['meeting', 'focus', 'break', 'deadline', 'reminder', 'personal']),
location: z.string().nullable().optional(),
}, async (params) => {
return await scheduleManager.createEvent(userId, params);
});
