Inspiration: I have always wanted to use an app like LifeOps, but the resources have been keeping Abby. Now, when I saw this offer from Devpost, I got motivated to build it.
What it does: LifeOps parses receipts, appointment confirmations, and complex policies into verified calendar reminders, tracked tasks, and long-term memory. Routine actions happen autonomously. Financial charges or irreversible choices wait for your explicit approval.
How we built it: With the use of Python and also LLMs for some difficulties and to save time too, the usage of AWS web services, Google Auth.
Challenges we ran into: I ran into an unreliable AI model that sometimes duplicated tasks or skipped steps, plus a stale background deployment that made already fixed code look broken for hours. On top of that, I found AWS root credentials had been in use the whole week instead of a safer setup, and had to fix that too.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: I'm basically proud to have gone far on this, and at least it's ready for use.
What we learned: I learnt more about AWS services, because I know about cloud computing and i use AWS services too.
What's next for LifeOps: More updates are coming on it soon.
