Title: LifeLy: Nurturing Minds, Building Futures
Introduction: LifeLy is a groundbreaking project born out of the recognition that childhood disorders, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism, significantly impact a child's developmental years. With 50% of mental health problems emerging by age 14 and 75% by age 24, early diagnosis and intervention are crucial. LifeLy aims to revolutionize the approach to these challenges through an interactive portal that combines technology, artificial intelligence, and human-centric features.
Objective: The primary objective of LifeLy is to provide a timely diagnosis of childhood disorders through an intuitive survey form. By utilizing a series of questions and answers, the system calculates probabilities. If the likelihood of a disorder surpasses a certain threshold, the portal recommends consulting a certified doctor for further evaluation and treatment. Additionally, it offers wellness exercises, articles, and tutorials on a subscription model to support the child's holistic well-being.
Development: The project is implemented through a website developed using React.js for the frontend, supported by Node.js and Express.js for the backend. APIs connect the system to a machine learning model, enhancing the accuracy of disorder predictions. Challenges encountered during development include the inherent limitations of ML models, which are not 100% accurate, and concerns about user privacy.
Future Plans: LifeLy's vision extends beyond its initial phase. The team plans to incorporate a chatbot for facilitating communication between doctors and patients. Furthermore, they aim to create a comprehensive report/dashboard for parents, detailing the child's journey from diagnosis to recovery. The expansion involves creating a registration portal for doctors and specialists, extracting valuable information from online classes, and curating a section on the latest trending videos related to mental disorders.
Impact and Awareness: LifeLy not only focuses on diagnosis and treatment but also aims to raise awareness about government schemes and opportunities available for individuals with these disorders. The portal recommends integrated schools, fostering an environment conducive to the child's growth and development.
Conclusion: LifeLy emerges as a beacon of hope for parents and caregivers dealing with childhood disorders. By combining technology, machine learning, and a human touch, it not only diagnoses and recommends treatment but also provides a comprehensive support system for the well-being of the child. The journey continues, with future plans promising an even more robust and inclusive platform for the benefit of families and individuals facing these challenges.
