💡 Inspiration

Emergencies don’t come with warnings. I’ve always wondered — what if someone needs urgent medical help but can’t speak for themselves?

That question inspired me to create LifeLink — a web app that generates a digital emergency card and scannable QR code that can literally save lives.

🛠 What It Does

LifeLink allows users to:

• Fill out emergency details (name, blood group, allergies, contact, insurance)
• Instantly generate a clean emergency info card
• Automatically generate a scannable QR code that contains all the data in JSON format
• Use the card digitally or print it / set it as a lock screen

⚙ How I Built It

• Frontend: Built using @bolt-ui/react components inside Bolt.new
• QR Code: Integrated using qrcode.react to encode JSON
• Hosting: Deployed via Netlify
• Tools Used: Bolt.new, React, Netlify, Markdown, QRCode.react

This project was built completely solo in under 5 days as part of the World’s Largest Hackathon.

🚧 Challenges I Faced

• Managing everything solo — from concept to deployment
• Making the app mobile-friendly and responsive in a short time
• QR code formatting and testing across devices
• My mic didn't work, so I used subtitles for the YouTube demo

• The importance of simplicity in emergency-use apps
