Lifeline ID: Revolutionizing Healthcare Access Inspiration The idea for Lifeline ID was born from a pressing need to modernize healthcare accessibility in Zambia and across Africa. Many people lack a centralized and easily retrievable medical record, leading to delayed treatments, lost medical history, and misdiagnoses.

We envisioned a digital healthcare ID that empowers individuals by giving them instant access to their medical records, ensuring that healthcare providers can make informed decisions quickly—especially in emergencies. By integrating with NHIMA, our goal is to create a seamless, efficient, and paperless healthcare experience, bridging the gap between patients, doctors, and insurance providers.

What it does Lifeline ID is a digital health identification system that allows users to: ✅ Store and access their medical history securely. ✅ Share medical records with healthcare providers in real-time. ✅ Schedule appointments and receive reminders. ✅ Track vaccinations, prescriptions, and health monitoring data. ✅ Integrate with NHIMA for insurance verification and claim processing. ✅ Work offline & online, ensuring accessibility even in low-connectivity areas.

How we built it 🛠 Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for a user-friendly interface). 🛠 Backend: PHP (handles authentication, database interactions, and APIs). 🛠 Database: MySQL (stores user information, medical records, and transactions). 🛠 Security: Encrypted storage, authentication mechanisms, and data privacy compliance.

We focused on a clean UI/UX, ensuring the platform is intuitive for both patients and healthcare providers.
