Inspiration

The prevalent use of hardcopy medical records poses significant challenges in managing and accessing comprehensive medical histories. These records are often scattered across various doctors and hospitals, making it difficult to quickly gather critical information, especially during emergencies. This fragmented system leads to delays in diagnosis and treatment, increased healthcare costs, and potential errors in medical care. These reasons led to the creation of the app.

What it does

The app is free for patients, with funding from hospitals, governments, and insurance agencies that benefit from its functionality and convenience. This funding model ensures minimal cost to these organizations while keeping the app operational, secure, and staffed. The user interface features a timeline format, displaying a simplified timeline of medical history with clickable entries for detailed views of doctor visits, test results, and prescriptions. This format allows users to easily navigate their medical history and find specific information quickly. Appointment reminders show the next scheduled appointment and key points from the doctor’s notes summarized using AI, ensuring patients are always aware of their upcoming medical appointments and prepared for their visits. For emergency access, first responders can access medical history via a secure login using a unique 36-digit code, transferable by QR code, NFC tap, or manual entry. Accounts automatically log out after 12 hours to prevent misuse, requiring re-authorization, ensuring that first responders can access the necessary information quickly and securely.
