For Thalassemia patients, every 2–4 weeks is a race against time. Families scramble for donors, volunteers manage endless WhatsApp groups, and even minor delays can be life-threatening.

Currently, Blood Warriors supports patients manually coordinating donors through phone calls and chat groups. While impactful, this approach is stressful, slow, and heavily volunteer-dependent, often leaving families anxious and volunteers overburdened.

Our project transforms this into an AI-powered blood management platform designed exclusively for the Blood Bridge initiative, bringing automation, reliability, and empathy into the process.

Challenges We Solve

How It Works (Core Logic)

AI Urgency Scoring

AI checks the patient’s hemoglobin level, transfusion due date, and urgency. It then prioritizes patients as Critical, High, or Normal, so the most urgent cases get donors first.

Blood Bridge Scheduling

For regular Thalassemia transfusions, the system creates a 12-month calendar. It assigns a rotating pool of 8 donors per patient, ensuring planned, stress-free transfusions without last-minute searches.

Backup Donors & SOS Mode

       -1 primary + 2 backups confirmed.

       -If all fail, Emergency SOS mobilizes city-wide donors and alerts volunteers.

Smart Donor Matching & WhatsApp Bot

AI finds eligible donors within 100 km before each transfusion date. The WhatsApp bot confirms donor availability, health status, and validates them instantly, then auto-books the slot at the blood bank and updates both donor and patient.

Behavior Analysis & Validation

AI monitors how quickly donors respond, their past donation history, and reliability. Based on this, it prioritizes fast, dependable donors and flags those with delays or cancellations, ensuring patients are matched with the most reliable donors.

Planned Slot Buffering:

       -Donation slots booked 1-week before transfusion to allow time for backups if needed.

       -Blood is collected in advance and stored safely at the blood bank.

Blood Bank API Integration: Auto slot booking, transfusion tracking, and test syncing.

e-RaktKosh Sync: Updates donation logs and blood stock automatically.

Donor Retention & Emotional Connect

  1. Health Passport: Post-donation test results (Hb, trends) stored in donor profiles.

  2. AI Insights: Tips for improving health and next donation readiness.

  3. Gamified Points & Badges: Rewards for frequent donors (redeemable branded coupons).

  4. Anonymous Messaging Wall:
