Circle K's "Fuel Runner" Campaign

What it does

This is a short play game with the goal of simplifying insurance and giving information on a complex topic in a digestible and interactive format. Users can play once a day, and make decisions throughout one day in Insurance World. Small information bubbles are posted throughout to help users make informed decisions and educate them in small bites. At the end of the day, users get a "rating" of how good of an insurance rate they would get based on their decisions. Then, an explanation of how each decision affected their rating which is directly applicable to their real world lives.

How we built it

This is a mock up of the game made with Figma.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge I ran into was unforeseeable circumstances in which two of my teammates were unable to attend at all, and my third teammate had to leave early in the day Saturday. I then decided to focus on the workshops and not submit a project, until around 5pm Saturday night when I started this.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud to have been able to find an idea I believe in and execute it (as a mock up) even after the events of the weekend and getting a very late start.

What we learned

While I wasn't able to develop my technical skills this weekend, I learned that it really is never too late to start, and that good things can come from unexpected circumstances.

What's next for LifeInsure

After this hackathon, I hope to make an actual implementation of this game, especially since I will have such a detailed blue print to follow.
