Inspiration

Every 2 minutes, someone dies due to a shortage of blood. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be that patient or the family watching helplessly as precious time slips away because you are not compatible or not fit enough to give blood? Lifeflow was inspired by the countless stories of patients who could have survived if only compatible blood were available faster.

What it does

LifeFlow is more than code; it’s a lifeline for postpartum mothers, sickle cell patients, accident victims, and anyone whose survival depends on timely blood donations. It connects compatible blood donors to patients in real time, using AI to instantly match needs with available donors and blockchain technology to ensure transparency and trust.

How we built it

Built with Bolt.new, integrated Algorand blockchain for security and transparency of blood records, Supabase for the backend and Tavus AI for conversation where Dr. Vita the blood-donor specialist, interacts with users.

Challenges we ran into

1. I kept getting authentication error from Netlify: "Authenticating failed due to the following error: Your account requires additional verification. Please check your email and follow the instructions to verify your account." I checked my email severally for a link from netlify but got none.
2. My tokens finished quite early.
