Inspiration

What inspired me to create this app was my struggle with schedules and focus, which constantly led to unfinished tasks. I felt I needed (something like) an assistant guiding me through my day's tasks, ensuring I completed them all. So, I thought of a smart embedded system (a smart watch or/and a pair of smart glasses) containing my pre-set schedules, my to-dos, and other parts of my life (including habits I'm building, my hobbies, and more). It would propose schedules, and guide me in completing all tasks. For the Bolt hackathon, I have created an app with these functionalities, and my idea of the smart embedded system is on its way to fruition.

What it does

Day-2-Day is your accountable personal assistant for scheduling and planning tasks and activities. It takes in your pre-set schedules, your to-dos, and parts of your life, including your hobbies, projects you're working on, habits you're building, daily activities (like eating, showering), and more, and generates schedules you can edit. For new users, the app has an onboarding process, where the user can input their already known schedules, daily activities, habits, hobbies, and more. After the onboarding, they can add specific to-dos as life goes on. The home page has a Generate Smart Schedule" button, which uses logic to generate a schedule for the user's day, which the user can edit by moving, adding, editing, or removing blocks (tasks in the schedule).

There are many scheduling apps around. For my app, the idea is that the app does not just document your to-dos, it helps you propose a schedule to complete those tasks, and goes through your day and tasks with you, giving the feeling of having an accountable personal assistant. It has a check-in section, where you journal and input your progress. It helps you keep track of your habits and more.

How we built it

I created my database using Supabase, then I made my app using Bolt and integrated it with Supabase. After that, I deployed to Netlify using Bolt.

What we learned

This challenge helped me learn new skills that will guide me in building more scalable and impactful products in my journey.

What's next for LifeFlow (Day2Day)

I am integrating my Day2Day features into a smart embedded system. My next product will be a smart watch with these features.
